A line that spent eighteen months China only has arrived in the UK store

The adidas Originals pet collection is live in the UK store, and its newest piece is the Pet Knitted Hoody at £70. It has a detachable hood with three stripes, a Trefoil appliqué and ribbed cuffs, and one of the two colourways is red with green accents, which is exactly the palette people reach for in December. Alongside it sit jerseys from £30, collars from £40 and carriers up to £110.
Worth stating plainly, because a fair amount of nonsense is circulating: adidas does not officially call this a Christmas collection. In the store it is simply the pet collection of clothing and accessories.
What actually happened is more interesting than the label. The pet line, which spent most of its existence available only in China, has arrived in Europe and has just gained two cold weather pieces: the knitted hoody and a padded vest. The hoody is in stock, the vest has already sold out in all three colours.
A detail missing from most coverage: the knitted hoody exists in the European range and does not appear in the American store at all. There the pet collection consists only of jerseys, tees, collars, carriers and mini balls. Buying in the UK gives you access to a piece that is not sold elsewhere.
This is the lead piece of the season and the only item in the collection that reads as a Christmas present rather than a supporter's accessory.
Price: £70
Sizes: XS to 2XL
Hood: detachable, carrying three stripes
Details: Trefoil appliqué, ribbed cuffs for a better fit
Material: soft knit
Colours: a light cream version and a red one with green accents
The red version carries the entire festive association. If you are planning a photograph under the tree, that is the one to look for.
One practical note: a range from XS to 2XL is wider than most pet clothing brands offer, but a sportswear manufacturer measures chest girth differently from a pet shop. Measure your dog before ordering rather than assuming M means what it means on the pet food aisle.
Pet Cali Tee: £30, in pink, white and yellow, with green sold out
Club jerseys: £30 each, for Arsenal, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Bayern Munich
Pet Collar: £45 in black, with burgundy sold out
Club collars: £40, for the same five clubs
Pet Shoulder Bag Carrier: £100 in green, with brown sold out
Club carriers: £110, for Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid
Pet Padded Vest: sold out in all three colours
Two distinct lines run through it. One is football, meaning jerseys and carriers for fans who want to dress the dog in club colours. The other is pure Originals, with a Trefoil instead of a crest, and that is where the hoody, the Cali tee and the leather accessories belong.
The history is shorter than you might think. The first run launched on 20 May 2025 at the adidas store on Anfu Road in Shanghai, with an online release a week later on 27 May. The target market was China only.
That first capsule was minimal: Cali tees with a Trefoil front and back, collars in genuine cowhide with gold rivets, and a leather carrier with a breathable window. Autumn 2025 added windbreakers, puffer vests and jackets in water repellent fabrics with insulated linings, still China only. A Lunar New Year edition followed.
European availability is therefore recent, and that is precisely why the collection is making noise now. It is not a global novelty, it is a local one.
As a gift: the hoody at £70 in red is the obvious choice for under the tree
For a football fan: a club jersey at £30 is the cheapest way into the collection and the easiest present
For everyday use: the collar at £45 in cowhide will outlast years of seasonal clothing
For small animals: the bag and carriers run £100 to £110, which is the price level of a decent human bag
What is not here, despite the questions: shoes for dogs, beds or bowls. The collection stops at clothing, collars and transport.
Stock is draining fast: the padded vest has gone in every colour, along with the green Cali tee, the burgundy collar and the brown carrier, and it is only early October
Pet sizing: measure chest girth and back length before ordering, since returning pet clothing is rarely straightforward
The detachable hood: a genuine practical advantage, because most dogs tolerate a jumper far better than a hood over the head
To be straight about it: adidas is not currently among the stores paying cashback through Soleback, so buying direct from the brand will not earn a rebate. If you are assembling Christmas presents more broadly, the list of stores that do pay is in the Soleback catalogue.
On those purchases, open the store's page in the catalogue before you order and click through from there. The Soleback extension prompts you to activate, and new accounts get the welcome bonus.
Christmas collection is the internet's phrase rather than adidas's, but the intent is clear enough. The brand brought a line to Europe that spent eighteen months as a Chinese curiosity and added a knitted hoody in red and green exactly in time for gifting season. £70 buys a piece with a detachable hood, three stripes and a Trefoil in sizes XS to 2XL. The rest starts at £30 and tops out at £110, and several variants have already gone.
