Booking.com discount code and cashback 2026: Genius, cancellation and payments

As of 2 November 2026 we found no single Booking.com discount code, and Soleback cashback is 0.05%, or 5 pence per £100. The real discount is Genius, with 10-20% at selected properties.

As of 2 November 2026 there is no single Booking.com discount code for a reservation, and cashback through Soleback is token: 0.05%, which is 5 pence on every £100 booked. The Booking card at Soleback shows zero codes and zero promotions, and the rate was last updated on 16 April 2026. The real discount comes from the Genius programme, which Booking.com describes on its own site: 10% once you open a free account, 10-15% after 5 bookings in 2 years and 10-20% after 15 bookings, but only at selected properties. Soleback cashback is approved after 60-120 days, and payouts start at 5 euros. Booking.com states that it does not charge booking fees, and Trustpilot rates the platform 1.4 out of 5 from 129,739 reviews. We read all the data on 2 November 2026.

Note: we use affiliate links and may receive a commission, which we pass on to you as cashback.

The key points at a glance

  • Soleback cashback: 0.05% in the only category on the card, named “sale” (as of 2 November 2026, card last updated on 16 April 2026)
  • What that means in pounds: 5 pence per £100, 50 pence per £1000 (our calculation)
  • Tracking and approval: cashback appears after 1-48 hours, approval takes 60-120 days
  • Payout: from 5 euros, and you can report missing cashback within 28 days
  • Discount codes: 0 on the Soleback card and 0 promotions, and we did not find a standing welcome code for Booking.com
  • Genius: free, 10% straight away, up to 15% after 5 bookings in 2 years, up to 20% after 15, only at selected properties and calculated on the price before taxes and fees
  • Cancellation: the property sets the rules, some offers are non-refundable, and Booking.com provides free cancellation only in most cases
  • Payment: at the property, prepaid or through Booking.com, depending on the property and the offer
  • App: a booking made in the Booking.com app does not earn Soleback cashback
  • Reviews: Trustpilot 1.4 out of 5, 129,739 reviews, 74% of them one star
  • A discount code from outside Soleback, or arriving through a different link, can block cashback, but at a rate of 0.05% it is Genius and the price of the offer that decide your bill, not cashback.

What Booking.com is and why it is not an ordinary shop

Booking.com is a booking platform founded in 1996 in Amsterdam and owned by Booking Holdings. The “About Booking.com” page gives 43 languages, more than 28 million accommodation options (including more than 6.6 million homes, apartments and other unique places) and more than 70 million reviews. We read it on 2 November 2026. Besides accommodation, the platform sells flights, car hire, attractions and airport taxis.

The most important point comes from the terms and conditions (version of 25 August 2025, read on 2 November 2026): Booking.com B.V. is responsible for the platform, not for the travel product itself. For accommodation you book directly with the property, and Booking.com is not a party to the contract. In practice:

  • Offer information: descriptions, prices and cancellation rules come from the properties, which are responsible for their accuracy and currency
  • Prepayment and cancellation: set by the property, not by the platform
  • Liability: the service provider is responsible for the stay itself, and the terms limit Booking.com's liability for a single event to the cost of your booking

The Booking card at Soleback has one rate and does not separate accommodation, flights, car hire and attractions. So we did not confirm whether 0.05% covers all of these products.

Is there a valid Booking.com discount code today?

As of 2 November 2026 we did not find any confirmed discount code for a Booking.com reservation. Three findings:

  • Soleback card: zero discount codes and zero promotions, with a note that cashback works without a code
  • Genius page: the discount for a new user is Genius level 1, which you unlock by opening a free account, with nothing to enter at payment
  • Booking.com terms: rewards and promotional codes have individual criteria, which may limit them to the app, selected properties, a minimum amount or a time window

In practice: you get a discount by logging in to your account, not by typing in a code. If you know a working code, you can submit it in the Soleback discount codes, where the site team verifies entries.

Newsletter and welcome discount: what we did not find

In the official Booking.com materials we read on 2 November 2026 there is no discount for signing up to the newsletter and no code for a first booking. Our guide of 28 September 2026 on Booking.com payments, cancellation and Genius, published in Polish, reaches the same conclusion: the newsletter is promotion alerts, not a coupon.

The only incentive for new users is Genius level 1. It is also worth checking the wallet in your account. The terms provide for rewards and campaign credit that have an expiry date, and credit granted in connection with a booking disappears from the wallet if you cancel that booking. For a missing reward you have 12 months from the event that you believe entitled you to it.

Genius: 10% to start, up to 20% after 15 bookings

Genius is Booking.com's free loyalty programme. The data below comes from the programme page and the terms, read on 2 November 2026:

  • Level 1: an account is enough, 10% off stays and on selected cars, flight price alerts in the app
  • Level 2: 5 completed bookings within 2 years, 10-15% on stays, free breakfasts and room upgrades at selected properties
  • Level 3: 15 completed bookings within 2 years, 10-20% on stays, breakfasts, room upgrades and priority support
  • Scope: according to the programme page the discounts cover 850,000 properties taking part in Genius and are calculated on the price before taxes and fees
  • Exclusions: the terms exclude cruises, insurance, public transport and free options from the programme, and extra purchases (for example upgrading the room standard) do not get the Genius discount

Two caveats are visible in the sources. The programme page promises rewards with no time limit, but the terms allow Booking.com to change the levels, the types of qualifying bookings and the structure of the programme, and, if it suspects abuse, to revoke membership together with the rewards. The programme FAQ also has a question about why a level may be lower than before, but the answers were not visible in our reading, so we do not decide when that happens.

Users in Polish-language comments on Pepper.pl, a Polish deals forum (thread from March 2026), are divided: some write that level 3 gives them lower prices and breakfasts, others that after logging in they paid more than people without an account or with a lower level. These are user accounts, not a measurement, but they suggest a simple test: check the price logged in and in an incognito window before you book.

Our conclusion: Genius is the only mechanism with documented value in this article, but it applies to selected properties, and its value has to be checked for every offer.

Codes from coupon sites: what is behind them

We checked the list of Booking “promotions” on the Picodi coupon site (its Polish page, read on 2 November 2026). We do not copy anyone else's codes, and here are three findings:

  1. It is mostly a description of Genius, not codes. The entries talk about 10% at level 1, 15% at level 2 and breakfast at level 2. These are programme rules that you already have on your account, not coupons to enter.
  2. One entry contradicts the official page. It says the first level requires 2 completed stays within 2 years. The Genius page and the Booking.com terms state that level 1 comes from simply opening an account.
  3. Slogans with a “from” price are advertising, not an offer. The price of a stay depends on the date and the property, so we do not quote any such amount.

What this means for cashback: the Soleback card lists orders with codes from outside Soleback among the cases in which cashback is not credited. So if you use a code from an external site, expect the cashback to be lost.

Mastercard promotion: up to 7% in the Booking.com wallet

The only promotion with a clear percentage that we found for a Polish user is a campaign for Mastercard holders, described on 24 September 2026 by Moneteo, a Polish site. It was described for Polish Mastercard holders, and we did not find confirmation for the UK, so check whether your card and country are covered. The terms according to that description:

  • Amount: from 4% (Standard and Gold cards) to a maximum of 7% (Black, Platinum, World, World Elite)
  • Cap: the equivalent of 200 euros of refund per booking
  • Deadline: bookings made by 31 December 2026
  • Entry condition: booking through a special Booking.com subpage with the Mastercard logo visible, with the same email address as your account, in one continuous browser session
  • Payout: no earlier than 64 days after check-out, in the Rewards and wallet tab
  • Form: credit to spend on Booking.com services, not cash

Moneteo states the cap in euros, and we do not convert it to pounds because we have no exchange rate source to cite.

This is a mechanism on a completely different scale from the 0.05% from Soleback, but with an important caveat. Both solutions require you to enter through their own link and finish the booking in one session. We did not check whether they can be combined, and our conclusion is that it is unlikely. Pick one: Soleback cash (token) or credit in the Booking.com wallet (clearly higher, but spendable only there).

Seasonal offers, the strikethrough price and the price match rule

Booking.com has a seasonal and holiday offers page, and the terms describe two rules worth knowing when you see price cuts:

  • Strikethrough price: means the price of a comparable booking without the reduction, that is with the same dates, rules and quality of accommodation (terms, point A7.4)
  • Reductions funded by Booking.com: some of the visible reductions are paid for by the platform, not the property (terms, point B7.3)

The “We match prices” rule in the terms (point B7) works after booking: if you find an identical stay on identical terms cheaper on another site, Booking.com undertakes to refund the difference. The second offer must have the same dates, the same number of guests, the same meal plan and the same cancellation rules, and must be in the property's local currency. Offers reduced thanks to logging in, a coupon or a loyalty programme do not count, nor do cancelled bookings. Booking.com decides whether to grant the refund.

In practice: take a screenshot of the price at the moment you book and, if you find it cheaper, report it straight away through customer service. We did not check how this rule works in practice, so we do not promise a refund.

The Booking.com app: a lower price or cashback

The Soleback card clearly lists purchases in the shop's mobile app among the cases in which cashback is not credited. The author of android.com.pl, a Polish tech site, wrote in 2024 that Booking.com prices can differ depending on the device, and that on a smartphone he usually saw lower amounts. This is one person's experience, not a measurement, but it agrees with what users write on Pepper.pl.

Our calculation: since cashback is 0.05%, an offer in the app that is cheaper by just 1% saves you 20 times more than the cashback (1 divided by 0.05). At such a low rate, cashback should not decide the choice between the app and the browser.

The same author noticed that after entering through the link of one of the loyalty programmes, the prices of some stays were higher. So take three steps before booking:

  1. Open the chosen property in a browser without any link and note the final price.
  2. Open the same property with the same dates and guests after going through the Soleback card and compare.
  3. Only then choose the version with the lower price, not the version with cashback.

Black Friday 2026: 27 November, no official Booking.com dates for Poland

Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November 2026, Cyber Monday on Monday 30 November and Singles Day on Wednesday 11 November. We take the dates from our Black Friday 2026 article on the highest cashback, published in Polish. We did not find an official Booking.com announcement with campaign dates for Poland (as of 2 November 2026). Our check was done for the Polish market and we did not check UK-specific announcements. Three points:

  • Previous years: according to the portal 10 Minutes News for Hoteliers, the last campaign described was the widest in the platform's history and covered six categories (accommodation, car hire, attractions, transfers, flights and cruises), with stay dates up to December 2026. In 2024 a Brazilian trade portal reported discounts of up to 35% on accommodation, up to 25% on cars and up to 20% on attractions, between 21 November and 4 December. Note that these were “up to” ranges, not a fixed percentage
  • Forecasts for 2026: Picodi writes that Booking is taking part in Black Friday 2026, and the Spanish portal Pixidia expects discounts of 30-50% from 23 November, but based this on trends from 2024-2025. A Brazilian blog gives 20 November-3 December, for its own market only. This is not an announcement for Poland
  • Cashback: the Soleback card does not give a higher Black Friday rate, and the rate applies to one category, so we do not know whether it will cover flights and cars

Our conclusion: if you are planning a trip for 2027, book an offer with free cancellation so that you can take advantage of a lower price when one appears.

The cost of a booking: no fees from Booking.com, but fees from the property

The “About Booking.com” page states that the platform does not charge the guest booking fees or other administrative costs. The terms add that by booking you undertake to pay the cost of the travel product together with other charges and taxes that may apply.

Our guide of 28 September 2026 lists what most often pushes the bill above the price in the search results:

  • Local or tourist tax: collected by the property on behalf of the municipality
  • Cleaning fee: common in apartments
  • Tax: if the offer was shown without it
  • Deposit: a hold on funds returned after the stay

The terms add that a service provider may require a deposit against damage, and Booking.com does not take part in settling such deposits. The rules on damage do not cover cleanliness, normal wear and tear or theft. Before paying, open the price summary and take a screenshot, because that is your evidence if the amount at the property is different.

When Booking.com takes the money

According to the terms there are three models, and the offer decides which applies:

  • Booking.com handles the payment: the platform manages the payment, and the payment is the final settlement of the price owed
  • The property collects the money: usually at check-in, but it can also be a card charge at the time of booking or payment at check-out
  • Prepayment: can be taken or pre-authorised at booking and can be non-refundable

Help for Booking.com partners adds that a property that does not use payments through Booking.com settles with guests itself: if it accepts cards, it can take the money before arrival or at check-in or check-out, and if it does not accept cards, the guest pays at the property in the local currency. Information on the prepayment rules is shown in the booking process, so read it before you click.

A hold on funds on your card is, according to our guide, a pre-authorisation, not a charge, and is usually released after a few working days, although this depends on the bank. This matters for cashback: the Soleback card lists unpaid orders among those for which cashback is not credited, but does not say how it treats a booking paid only at the property. We did not confirm this.

Payment methods and BLIK

The description on the Booking card at Soleback lists the main credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and local payment methods. The terms say that accepted cards are given on the property page and in the booking process, so the list depends on the particular offer.

BLIK is the Polish instant payment method. It does not appear on any official page that we read. Our guide of 28 September 2026 says that BLIK is sometimes available to Polish users for payments handled by Booking.com, and not for every booking. In a Trustpilot review from the end of October 2026 a customer describes paying for accommodation with BLIK in the app, which suggests the method appears at least in some cases. It is one unverified review, so we do not treat it as confirmation.

The same review is also a warning: after payment the app showed a message that there was no booking, so the customer booked a second property, and then the first booking did appear after all. Both were non-refundable. The practical conclusion: after any payment error, check your Booking.com account and your bank statement before you book anything again.

If the currency on the platform differs from the property's currency, the terms describe an option to pay in your own currency, with the exchange rate shown in the booking details. The fee is then expressed as a percentage above the European Central Bank rates, and the issuer of your card may add its own foreign transaction fee.

Cancellation of a booking: three kinds of offer

The terms say it outright: cancellation and no-show fees depend on the property's rules. Some bookings cannot be cancelled free of charge, and others only before a set deadline. Our guide describes three variants:

  • Free cancellation: free until the deadline given in the booking confirmation
  • Partly refundable: no cost until the deadline, then a fee set by the property
  • Non-refundable: the full cost of the stay even if you change the date or do not arrive

Deadlines are most often 24 or 48 hours before arrival, but the guide also mentions 7, 14 and 30 days. The property's time zone counts, not yours. The terms also warn that with prepayment the property may cancel the booking without notice if it fails to collect the payment on time, and you are responsible for keeping an eye on the payment.

Refund time: Bezprawnik, a Polish legal news site, wrote in 2023 that even with a free cancellation offer you have to wait at least 7 to 10 days, and our guide gives a few to a dozen or so working days. Some Trustpilot reviews describe a much longer wait, including cases in which the property accepted the cancellation and the money did not come back. These are customer complaints, not findings.

For cashback: the Soleback card excludes cancelled orders, so after a cancellation the cashback is lost.

Changing the date and the non-refundable offer: what a mistake costs

For a change of dates, our guide points to three scenarios: the property allows an online change (the new date may cost more), the change needs the property's consent, or the offer is non-refundable and a change is treated as a cancellation. Bezprawnik notes that moving a stay may change the price.

Our calculation on an example (this is not an offer, and the amounts are assumed): a stay of 3 nights at £200 a night, £600 in total, in the non-refundable version, and the same stay with free cancellation for £660.

  • You give up the non-refundable offer: you lose £600, and the new stay is another expense
  • You give up the offer with cancellation: you get back £660, so the “insurance” cost £60
  • Break-even point: £60 is 10% of the non-refundable price, so if the chance that your plans change is higher than 10%, the flexible version pays off

For comparison: Soleback cashback on £660 at a rate of 0.05% is £0.33, so it has no effect on this choice.

Our guide to Booking.com, published in Polish, describes in more detail the scenarios for when the property cancels the booking or when you want to get your money back for a non-refundable offer. According to that guide, a request to the property for an exception has the best chance if you write it well in advance and politely.

Complaints and disputes: who is responsible

Because Booking.com is not a party to the accommodation contract, disputes with the property are the hardest area. What the terms say:

  • Where to report the matter: through the booking, the app or the help centre, ideally with the booking number, a description of the problem, the solution you expect and documents
  • Communication with the property: Booking.com can help with contact, but does not guarantee that the property will read the message or meet the request
  • The European Commission ODR platform: according to the terms, new claims can no longer be filed on it from 20 March 2025
  • External disputes: Booking.com writes that it is not obliged to use alternative dispute resolution procedures
  • Liability limit: one event is at most the cost of the booking from the confirmation email

The most common complaint in the Trustpilot reviews from September and October 2026 is similar: customers write that after a dispute with a property Booking.com replies that it is only an intermediary and offers wallet credit instead of a refund. In a review published on 30 September 2026 it is 105 Polish zloty in the wallet instead of a refund of 242 Polish zloty. The review was written in Polish zloty. These are customer accounts, but they fit what the terms say about the role of the platform.

The order of steps according to our guide:

  1. Report the problem to the property on the spot and record the answer.
  2. Gather evidence: photos, recordings, correspondence, the confirmation with the description of the offer.
  3. Report the matter to Booking.com through the booking panel with the booking number and a specific demand.
  4. If that does not help, turn to the consumer route: a consumer organisation or ombudsman in your country, and for cross-border cases the European Consumer Centres where available. Treat a chargeback at your bank as the last step.

Invoice for a stay

According to our guide, the invoice for accommodation is issued by the property, not by Booking.com. The terms confirm this for partner offers: with such an offer the invoice is issued by the partner company or the property. The guide advises reporting the need for an invoice before arrival or at check-in, and for a company invoice giving your company's tax or VAT number (NIP in Poland) before the receipt is issued.

A Trustpilot complaint from October 2026 shows what this looks like in practice: a customer spent two weeks trying to get an invoice for an apartment, and the platform sent him to the property owner. Our conclusion: do not leave this until after the stay.

Soleback cashback at Booking.com: 0.05% and approval after 60-120 days

Data from the Booking card at Soleback, read on 2 November 2026. The card was last updated on 16 April 2026, so the rate may have changed without notice.

  • Rate: 0.05%, the only category on the card is “sale”, region Europe
  • Tracking: 1-48 hours
  • Approval: 60-120 days
  • Payout: from 5 euros, according to the FAQ on the card usually within 1-3 working days after approval
  • Reporting missing cashback: within 28 days

Soleback states the payout threshold in euros and we do not convert it to pounds because we have no exchange rate source to cite. The card also lists cases in which cashback is not credited:

  • purchases in the mobile app instead of in a browser session with activation
  • orders with discount codes from outside Soleback
  • visiting a price comparison site or another cashback site after activation
  • an ad blocker or tracking protection
  • orders that are cancelled, returned or unpaid, and orders partly paid with a gift card

What the card does not settle and what we did not confirm: whether the rate applies to flights, car hire and attractions, how a booking paid at the property is counted, and whether approval is counted from the booking or from the stay. Our guide of 28 September 2026 says that settlement happens after the stay, but the card does not confirm this.

How to activate cashback:

  1. Go to the Booking card at Soleback, log in and click “Activate cashback”, or go to Booking.com through the Soleback link.
  2. Turn off your ad blocker and do not open price comparison sites.
  3. Book in the same browser tab, without the app and without a code from outside Soleback.
  4. If cashback does not appear after 48 hours, report it in the help centre. The browser extension will remind you to activate.

Discount and cashback together: three calculations

These are examples on hypothetical amounts, not offers. We did not read the prices of any specific stays, so the amounts given are assumed.

  1. Cashback alone: a booking of £1000 gives £0.50 (0.05%), £3000 gives £1.50, £5000 gives £2.50. At a rate of 0.05%, cashback is 1/2000 of the booking value, so the total of approved bookings has to be 2000 times larger than the amount you want to get back. For comparison: Soleback states on its home page cashback of up to 14% at partner shops, which is 280 times more than here.
  2. Genius versus cashback: at a property taking part in Genius, at a price of £1000 before taxes and fees, level 1 gives £100 off (10%), level 2 up to £150, level 3 up to £200. That is 200, 300 and 400 times more than £0.50 of cashback.
  3. Mastercard versus Soleback: the card promotion for a £1000 stay is £40 at 4% and £70 at 7%, but in the Booking.com wallet, at least 64 days after check-out. Soleback cashback is £0.50 and a cash payout from 5 euros. So you choose between a clearly higher amount that can be spent only at Booking.com and a token amount that can be paid out.

Our conclusion: cashback through Soleback makes sense at Booking.com only if it costs you zero effort and does not change the price. If it requires giving up a lower price in the app, a code or a card promotion, it is not worth it.

Booking.com reviews on Trustpilot: 1.4 out of 5

Data from the Booking.com profile on Trustpilot, read on 2 November 2026:

  • Rating: 1.4 out of 5, described as “bad”
  • Number of reviews: 129,739, including 22,092 from the last 12 months
  • Distribution: 5 stars 17%, 4 stars 4%, 3 stars 2%, 2 stars 3%, 1 star 74%
  • Company replies: Trustpilot shows that the company did not reply to negative reviews
  • Review invitations: the company has not recently invited customers to leave reviews, so the distribution may not be fully representative

Of the 20 newest reviews on the first page, 18 are one star, one is three stars and one is five stars. What the few satisfied customers praise: one of the five-star reviews describes a full refund for a booking at a hotel that did not exist and emphasises Genius level 3. What is criticised most often:

  • refunds and cancellations that are delayed or do not come back despite the property's consent
  • the platform's reply that it is only an intermediary, and compensation in the form of wallet credit
  • flights that were cancelled and the difficulty of getting a refund
  • a mismatch between the description and photos and the real state of the room
  • no invoice from the platform and a Genius counter that the customer considers wrongly calculated

Three caveats to judge this fairly. First, Trustpilot is open to everyone and does not verify whether statements are true. Second, the rating covers the whole brand, including flights and car hire, and some reviews are written by a host, not a guest. Third, the Booking.com profile on Trustpilot is linked to other profiles of this company, and Trustpilot notes that the company has a paid subscription. Reviews of Booking.com properties themselves are published differently: according to the “About Booking.com” page, only someone who has booked through the platform can add a review.

Where the sources disagree

  • Tracking and approval time: the header of the Soleback card gives tracking of 1-48 hours and approval of 60-120 days, while the FAQ on the same card says 24-48 hours and 30-90 days. We take the data from the header
  • Codes and cashback: the FAQ on the card says that most codes can be combined with cashback, while the list of exceptions on the same card names codes from outside Soleback. We apply the stricter rule: a code from outside Soleback can block crediting
  • Scale of the platform: the description on the Soleback card gives more than 200 million reviews, 28 million partners and 150,000 destinations, while the “About Booking.com” page gives more than 70 million reviews, more than 28 million accommodation options and more than 85,000 places. Our September guide mentions about 3.4 million properties. We use the numbers from the Booking.com page
  • Head office: the description on the Soleback card and the Trustpilot profile give the address Herengracht 597, while the “About Booking.com” page gives Oosterdokskade 163 in Amsterdam. We use the address from the Booking.com page
  • Genius level 1: the programme page and the terms say an account is enough, while Picodi writes about 2 completed stays. We accept the Booking.com version
  • Number of properties in Genius: the programme page gives 850,000, while our guide gives 390,000. We accept the number from the programme page
  • Durability of Genius: the programme page promises rewards with no time limit, while the terms allow the programme to be changed and membership to be revoked for abuse. The FAQ asks about a lower level than before, but with no visible answer
  • Lowest price guarantee: the “About Booking.com” page declares best rates and price matching, the terms describe the “We match prices” rule with a list of exceptions, and Bezprawnik in July 2024 described the withdrawal of the lowest price clause from contracts with hotels. These are two different things: a guarantee for the guest and a clause towards hotels. We did not confirm how a price match claim works
  • Refund time: from 7-10 days (Bezprawnik 2023), through a few to a dozen or so working days (our guide), to weeks in customer complaints
  • Black Friday 2026: no official Booking.com dates for Poland, and the forecasts from Picodi, Pixidia and the Brazilian blog differ
  • BLIK: no confirmation on an official page, only our guide and a customer review

How reliable the sources are

  • High: the “About Booking.com” page, the Genius page, the terms and conditions (version of 25 August 2025) and the Soleback card as to what is visible on it. The terms displayed to us contain arbitration provisions typical of a market other than Poland, so we rely only on the general points: the role of the platform, payments, cancellation, Genius and rewards
  • Medium: the Soleback card as to how current the rate is (last update 16 April 2026), Moneteo (a Polish promotions site that corrected figures in its text after readers' comments), Bezprawnik (texts from 2023 and 2024), android.com.pl (2024), Trustpilot (the numbers are reliable as a reading of the profile, the content of reviews is unverified), the Soleback guide of 28 September 2026
  • Low: Picodi (a coupon site), comments on Pepper.pl, Pixidia and the Brazilian blog (forecasts), 10 Minutes News for Hoteliers (a report of a press release), individual customer reviews
  • Our conclusion: all the calculations and assessments of cost-effectiveness in this article are ours. The 0.05% rate is read from the card, but it looks very low for accommodation bookings, so check it on the card again before you decide

What to do depending on your situation

  • You want the biggest possible discount: open a Booking.com account, look for properties with the Genius label and compare the price logged in and in an incognito window
  • You book once a year and hope for cash: 0.05% cashback will change nothing, so choose the lowest final price and free cancellation
  • You have a Mastercard: check the 4-7% promotion running to 31 December 2026, but remember that it is credit in the Booking.com wallet and a different route in from Soleback, and that it was described for Polish cardholders, so check that your card and country are covered
  • You still want Soleback cashback: activate it in a browser, turn off your ad blocker, do not use the app or external codes and finish the booking in the same session
  • You are not sure about the date: choose an offer with free cancellation and note the exact deadline in the property's time zone
  • You need an invoice for a company: write to the property before arrival and give your company's tax or VAT number (NIP in Poland) before the receipt is issued
  • You pay with a local method such as BLIK in Poland: check on the payment screen whether that method is available, and after any payment error check your account and your bank statement before you book anything again
  • You are booking on Black Friday: do not wait for a date that Booking.com has not announced for Poland, and compare the price with the offer on the property's own site
  • You have a problem with a property: report it on the spot, gather photos and correspondence, write to Booking.com through the booking panel, and only then turn to the consumer route

Before you book accommodation, activate cashback on the Booking card at Soleback and finish the booking in the same browser session, then have a look at the Soleback promotions and the help centre.
