UGG's first collaboration with Jonathan Anderson's label turns the Tasman and Classic Boot into loafers. On UGG UK they cost £280 and £380.

JW Anderson and UGG released their first collaboration today, 15 October 2026. It is made up of two all-gender styles: the Loafer at £280 and the Loafer Boot at £380, each in three colours. Think of them as the UGG Tasman and Classic Boot reworked as penny loafers, with suede on the outside and sheepskin on the inside.
The good news is that the whole collection is on UGG's UK site, which is a Soleback partner, so you get cashback on a full-price drop. The less good news is that some colours and sizes had already gone by lunchtime on release day.
Prices from UGG's UK site, checked on 15 October 2026:
UGG JW Anderson Loafer: £280
UGG JW Anderson Loafer Boot: £380
For comparison, the standard women's Classic Short II costs £185 in the same shop and the men's Tasman II costs £115. So the Loafer is roughly two and a half times the price of a Tasman, and the Loafer Boot is about twice the price of a Classic Short.
There are two styles, both built on UGG bestsellers.
The Loafer is a reworked Tasman, the low, closed slipper that has spent the last few seasons on pavements rather than at home. In the JW Anderson version it gets the chunky proportions of a loafer and a strap across the front, like a penny loafer. According to Sole Retriever, the UGG and JW Anderson tags hang from the outer edge of the collar.
The Loafer Boot is the Classic Boot with the same idea: a rounded toe, moccasin stitching and a strap across the front. Here the co-branded labels sit on the heel.
The item numbers are 1186772 for the Loafer and 1188910 for the Loafer Boot, which helps if you go looking in other shops.
JW Anderson has been playing with the loafer for years. The brand has turned it into shoes, the Loafer bag and details on its clothing. Anderson himself says he wanted to see how that language would translate into UGG.
Three things come from the loafer: the strap where you would slot a coin on a classic penny loafer, the visible box stitching around the front, and a rounded, slightly enlarged toe. Everything else is the UGG you know: a soft sole, fleece inside and a lace-free silhouette.
What is interesting is the direction. For a few seasons the trend has been "sneaker loafers", loafers with trainer soles and sporty details. Anderson goes the other way: instead of making the loafer more technical, he softens it into a slipper.
UGG lists three colours: Chestnut, Khaki and Orange, all picked by Anderson. The catch is that everyone names them differently. The JW Anderson shop calls them chestnut, military green and tangerine, while Sole Retriever goes with brown, green and orange. Even on UGG's own site, one of the Khaki images is described as green.
So if you are expecting a beige khaki, you may be surprised. Going by the descriptions, Khaki is an olive, military green and Orange is a bright tangerine. Chestnut is UGG's classic brown and the safest choice if you want to wear them with everything.
According to the product pages, both styles have:
Upper: lamb suede
Lining: 17mm sheepskin
Sockliner: 17mm sheepskin over a poured PU layer
Midsole: sugarcane EVA
UGG states that the fur is real and has been dyed and treated. If you avoid real fur, this collection is not for you.
Suede is also a good reason to keep them away from gritted pavements. Salt and water leave tide marks, and on shoes at this price that hurts. Proof them before you wear them out.
Both styles are listed as all-gender, and the UK site offers sizes UK 3 to 12. Many sizes carried a "Selling fast!" tag on release day, and the Khaki Loafer showed every size as out of stock. If your size has gone, you can join the waitlist on the product page.
The easiest route is the JW Anderson collection on UGG UK. The pairs are also on the JW Anderson site at the same prices, although the Loafer in tangerine was already marked as sold out there.
According to TheIndustry.fashion, the collection is also going to selected UGG and JW Anderson stores and to retailers including Selfridges.
UGG UK delivers full-price items free in 2 to 3 days, and you can also collect for free in store or at a local pick-up point. If you order today, Thursday, expect your pair early next week rather than by the weekend.
Returns are the stronger point. Orders placed between 15 October and 24 December can be returned until 31 January 2027, which gives you more than three months to decide. There is also a two-year legal guarantee.
UGG UK is a Soleback partner. The default rate is 1.5 per cent, while women's boots and slippers earn 1 per cent. Which category UGG puts the collaboration into decides the final amount:
Loafer, £280: £2.80 to £4.20 back
Loafer Boot, £380: £3.80 to £5.70 back
Cashback is tracked within 48 hours and approved after 60 to 90 days. To make sure it counts, activate it before you buy, finish the order in the same browser rather than the UGG app, do not use discount codes from other sites and switch off your ad blocker. Returning the pair cancels the cashback. The Soleback extension reminds you to activate it automatically.
Jonathan Anderson founded his label in London in 2008. He spent 11 years as creative director of Loewe and in 2025 took the same role at Dior, where he oversees womenswear, menswear and haute couture. JW Anderson also has an autumn 2026 collection with Uniqlo.
For UGG, owned by Deckers Brands (the group behind HOKA and Teva), it is another step towards higher-end fashion. In Anderson's own words, UGGs are instantly recognisable and he wanted to see something so familiar through the lens of JW Anderson.
The face of the campaign is Dev Hynes, the musician and producer known as Blood Orange. The photos were shot by Zhenyi and Tanya Posternak and styled by Anderson himself. The scenes are set at home: getting dressed, moving from room to room. That suits shoes that grew out of slippers.
You want the most recognisable piece: the Loafer Boot at £380. It blends the Classic Boot and the loafer most clearly.
You want something for everyday wear with jeans: the Loafer at £280. It is easier to style and £100 cheaper.
You want a colour that goes with everything: Chestnut. Khaki is really a green, and Orange is a statement.
You avoid real fur: skip it, both styles are lined with sheepskin.
You want the cashback: buy on UGG UK through Soleback, not on the JW Anderson site.
If you are buying, do not wait too long on your size. Returns until 31 January 2027 give you time to think, but a sold-out size will not come back.
