Everything you need before ordering from jdsports.co.uk: delivery options, JD Sports returns, current codes, JD STATUS and Soleback cashback of up to 3.5 per cent. We also flag what JD does not confirm on its own pages.
Soleback Team
In October 2026 JD Sports in the UK pays up to 3.5 per cent cashback through Soleback, but only 1 per cent on sale items (rates read from the store card on 23 October 2026). There are two catches worth knowing before you check out: if you enter a discount code that did not come from Soleback, or if you buy in the JD app instead of the browser where you activated cashback, the store card says cashback will not be credited. Below you will find everything about jdsports.co.uk in one place: delivery, JD Sports returns, discount codes, loyalty, stores, shoes, clothing and customer reviews, with a clear note of what we confirmed and what we could not.
JD Sports started as a single shop in Bury, near Manchester, in 1981, and the UK site is still run from there. The seller named in the terms of sale on jdsports.co.uk is JD Sports Fashion Plc (company number 01888425), Hollinsbrook Way, Pilsworth, Bury, BL9 8RR. Unlike in some other countries, there is no local partner or franchise between you and the group: you buy directly from the parent company.
According to the annual report for the financial year ending 31 January 2026, the whole group had 4,811 stores, 2,088 of them under the JD fascia, and operated in 51 countries. Group sales came to about 12.66 billion pounds that year.
The UK is the home market, but not the growing one. In its full year results reported on 13 May 2026, JD said organic sales in the UK and Ireland fell by 2.5 per cent and like for like sales by 3.9 per cent, with the company describing weak trading through the year, especially online (World Footwear, 13 May 2026). For you this mostly means one thing: a soft home market tends to produce plenty of offers, multibuy deals and delivery promotions, which you will see throughout this guide.
We could not get a single confirmed store count from JD. The official store locator lists stores alphabetically by name, but the page we read on 23 October 2026 cut off at Swindon, by which point about 329 stores had been listed. The full total is therefore higher. A store data provider, ScrapeHero, counted 413 JD Sports stores in the UK as of 21 March 2025, with England accounting for about 81 per cent. Treat that as an estimate rather than an official figure.
JD's own pages also do not agree with each other. The Click & Collect page says the service is available across 300 stores in the UK, while the delivery page says next day Click & Collect goes to over 670 collection points. Our reading is that the second figure covers more than just JD fascia stores, but JD does not explain the difference.
Cities with several JD Sports stores in the official list include:
Opening hours change with shopping centre hours, so check the store page before you travel.
Why use a store if you buy online? Three reasons. First, Click & Collect can save you the delivery charge on small orders. Second, you can try on sizes, which matters for models that fit differently across brands. Third, the in store till is where JD STATUS rewards are spent, as described further down.
JD Sports shoes are mainly trainers from the big sportswear brands, but the range goes wider than the name suggests. The homepage and product listings on 23 October 2026 showed:
A detail that matters later: some Nike, adidas, Reebok and Under Armour products are fulfilled directly by the brand rather than by JD. JD's delivery page says these orders go by standard delivery only, are not eligible for Next Day Evening or JDX Unlimited, and are returned directly to the supplier. JD marks these products on the product page or in the basket, so look for that label before you choose a delivery option.
JD Sports clothing is largely sportswear and streetwear. What you will find:
On 23 October 2026 the menu also showed multibuy campaigns such as "2 for £25", "2 for £35" and "2 for £60", plus a knitwear push for the colder months. We did not open the individual multibuy terms, so check which items qualify before you build a basket around them.
JD uses a "JD Exclusive" label rather than a single "Only at JD" page in the UK. On 23 October 2026 the product filter showed 4,041 items marked JD Exclusive and 70 marked Web Exclusive. JD does not define the label on that page.
In practice, exclusivity usually means a colourway or a version rather than a whole model. The same shoe in another colour is often sold elsewhere. If you care about the model rather than the specific colour, compare before you buy. If you want that exact colourway, the exclusive label is the reason to buy at JD.
What we read on the official delivery and Click & Collect pages on 23 October 2026:
Standard delivery price and free delivery threshold: not confirmed. The homepage description mentions "Free Standard Delivery" without any threshold. A coupon site (T3, updated 23 October 2026) states standard delivery costs £3.99 on orders under £70 and is free above that, but the same page also lists £50 and £80 thresholds for other offers. Coupon sites are low reliability, so check the figure in your basket before paying.
JDX Unlimited. JD's delivery page refers to a "JDX Unlimited Delivery membership", which confirms that the scheme exists. We could not open its official page. The T3 coupon page claims it costs £9.99 a year with unlimited free delivery, but this is not confirmed by JD.
We found no mention of InPost lockers, Evri drop points or nominated day delivery on the official delivery page.
Because JD does not publish one clear standard delivery threshold on its help pages, the most common reasons for an unexpected delivery charge are, in our view:
This is our conclusion from the rules, not a statement from JD. If you are a few pounds short, free same day Click & Collect (ordered by 2pm) or the ROUND2 code for free next day delivery, valid until 31 December 2026, are better options than adding socks to the basket.
UK home orders can be tracked, and JD asks you to allow up to 12 hours for tracking to appear. You can check an order on the Track My Order page with your order number and your email address or postcode. Click & Collect parcels are tracked internally by JD, but the tracking is not visible to you.
A signature may be required on delivery. If nobody is in, the driver leaves a card with instructions for collecting the parcel.
Uncollected Click & Collect orders. The delivery page says that if you have not collected your order after 7 days it goes to the Returns Department and you are refunded, with a reminder email after 4 days. The Click & Collect page says items are kept in store for 14 days. The two pages disagree, so plan on 7 days to be safe. To collect, bring proof of purchase and your payment card or photo ID. If someone else collects for you, they need your proof of purchase and their own photo ID, and you can only add a nominee when you place the order.
If you shop through Soleback, remember that an uncollected order ends up cancelled and refunded, which also cancels the cashback.
The terms of sale on jdsports.co.uk include a section on Klarna, describing "Slice it in 3 or pay in 30 days with Klarna". Clearpay is also accepted: JD ran a Clearpay offer (code CLEARPAY15, £15 off a spend of £75 or more) from 5 to 18 October 2026, which has now ended. The homepage advertises "Buy Now, Pay Later".
We could not read a full official list of payment methods, so PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay are not confirmed by the pages we read. Check the options at checkout.
Two practical notes. Buy now, pay later spreads the cost but it is still credit, so read the provider's terms before you commit. And according to the Soleback store card, orders paid even partly with a gift card do not earn cashback.
This is the weakest part of our research. The official returns page on jdsports.co.uk returned an error every time we tried to read it on 23 October 2026, and the Delivery & Returns page loaded without its returns tab. What we did confirm on official pages:
Third party sources disagree on the rest. Parcel2Go's JD returns page says you have 45 days, returns in store and through the JD returns portal are free, and printerless labels are available. StorePolicies (last updated 16 October 2026) says 28 days from purchase or receipt, free in store returns, a returns portal with a QR code option, no exchanges, and no returns on underwear. The T3 coupon page mentions 14 days. None of these is JD itself, so check the return window in your order confirmation or account before you rely on any of them.
What the sources do agree on: items should be unworn, with tags attached, and trainers should go back in the original box. In store returns are refunded at the till.
Returns and cashback: a returned order earns no Soleback cashback, and a partial return reduces it. That is why approval takes 60 to 90 days.
A return because you changed your mind is not the same as a claim for a faulty item. Under UK consumer law you generally have a 14 day right to cancel most online purchases, and under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. In broad terms, you can reject faulty goods for a refund within the first 30 days, and after that you are entitled to a repair or replacement first. JD's promotional terms state that your statutory rights are not affected.
Practically: keep your order confirmation or receipt, photograph the fault as soon as you notice it, and put your complaint in writing through the web form so you have a date on record. If a parcel arrives damaged, photograph the packaging before you open it.
JD Sports discounts in the UK come in many short promotions, each with its own terms page. What we read on 23 October 2026:
Almost every code has the same rules: not valid in store, not valid with other online offers, not valid with student or emergency services discounts, excluded products listed on a separate page, and refunds at the discounted price.
The most important rule for you: according to the Soleback store card, a discount code from outside Soleback blocks cashback. The FAQ further down the same card says most codes can be combined with cashback and only some exclusive codes block it, so the card is inconsistent. JD's own cashback terms, which we read on jdsports.co.uk, say orders using a code that the cashback partners have not posted and approved do not qualify. Our conclusion: assume a code from outside Soleback will cancel your cashback.
The footer on jdsports.co.uk says you get 10 per cent off your next order when you subscribe to the newsletter. The terms page for this offer says the 10 per cent applies to full priced products, is for new customers only, cannot be used in store, and cannot be combined with student or emergency services discounts.
On a full price basket, 10 per cent is clearly more than 3.5 per cent cashback. On sale items the newsletter code does not apply at all, so cashback is the only extra saving there.
This is a confusing area. The homepage description on 23 October 2026 mentioned a "10% Student Discount", and the Soleback store card listed an extra 10 per cent off full price and sale items for students. JD's student terms page, however, describes a 20 per cent offer on full and reduced price products, online through UNiDAYS, Student Beans or Totum and in store with a valid student card. That 20 per cent offer ran from 14 September 2026 (7 September in Scottish stores) and ended on 5 October 2026 at 9am. ASICS clothing and brand fulfilled items were excluded.
Our reading: the 20 per cent was a back to school promotion, and the standing rate is 10 per cent. Confirm the current figure in your student platform. A student code is also a code from outside Soleback, so you cannot combine it with cashback. Students also earn a higher JD Cash rate in JD STATUS (see below).
JD STATUS runs in the UK. According to the JD STATUS page on 23 October 2026:
The scheme is run through the JD STATUS app. We could not confirm whether JD Cash expires, whether there is a minimum to redeem, whether it can be spent online, or what happens to JD Cash when you return an item: the FAQ page lists these questions without loading the answers.
The difference from Soleback cashback: JD Cash is only worth something at a JD till, while Soleback cashback is paid out to your bank account from 5 euros. Whether JD Cash is earned on an order placed through a Soleback link is not confirmed.
The JD Sports app on the App Store is published by JD Sports Fashion Plc and had a rating of 4.8 from about 572,000 ratings when we checked. Its description promises app exclusive offers, 10 per cent off your first app order with the code APPOFFER, daily drops and restock alerts. JD's app page adds competitions and giveaways open only to app users. Some short delivery offers have also been app only, such as £1 express delivery on orders over £80 (the year of that offer is not stated in the terms).
The downside is clear: purchases in the app earn no Soleback cashback, because cashback only tracks in the browser session where you activated it. JD's own cashback terms say the same: cashback applies to web orders only, not app orders. On a small full price first order, 10 per cent off in the app beats 3.5 per cent cashback. On a sale order, where cashback is only 1 per cent, an app offer that covers sale items is also likely to be worth more.
Launches and raffles. JD's cashback terms mention raffle products, which confirms that JD runs raffles, and that no cashback is paid on them. We did not find a public UK page describing how raffles work.
The sale section exists and is linked from the homepage banner, but the sale listing itself returned an error when we tried to read it on 23 October 2026, so we cannot give you a product count or typical discount levels.
The Black Friday page is already live and listed 888 products on 23 October 2026, 488 of them already reduced. No dates for Black Friday 2026 or early access details were published. A coupon site says JD tends to promote up to 50 per cent off over Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but we could not confirm the 2025 dates or discount levels from an official or independent source.
Remember the cashback split: through Soleback, sale items earn 1 per cent rather than 3.5 per cent. On Black Friday, that makes the store's own price cut far more important than the cashback.
JD sells a physical gift card and an eGift Card, both usable in store or online according to the gift card page. The eGift Card expires if the balance is not used within 24 months. You can check your balance with the card number and PIN on the same page. The terms of sale also mention "Ultimate Gift Cards", which we did not investigate.
We could not confirm minimum and maximum values or the expiry period for the physical card. Most promotional codes cannot be used to buy gift cards, and an order paid even partly with a gift card earns no Soleback cashback.
On the JD Sports UK card in Soleback (read on 23 October 2026), the default rate is up to 3.5 per cent and the rate for sale items is 1 per cent. Cashback is usually tracked within 1 to 48 hours of your order. The card gives approval as 60 to 90 days, while its FAQ says 30 to 90 days. You can report missing cashback within 28 days, and the minimum payout is 5 euros.
Cashback will not be credited when:
JD's own cashback terms add a few points that are worth knowing. Cashback is paid on the value excluding VAT and excluding delivery, not on raffle products, not on products fulfilled by brand partners such as Nike, adidas, Reebok and Under Armour, and not on gift cards. Our conclusion is that these terms apply to cashback sites, including Soleback, which means the cashback you see may be lower than 3.5 per cent of the total you paid.
Soleback has more than 720 partner stores and cashback of up to 14 per cent, but the rate at JD Sports UK is up to 3.5 per cent.
The UK domain has a large review base. On Trustpilot, jdsports.co.uk had a TrustScore of 3.8 from 359,190 reviews when we checked, with 38,879 in the last 12 months. The split is sharply polarised: 57 per cent five star and 30 per cent one star, with little in between. JD replied to 99 per cent of negative reviews, usually within 24 hours, but many replies are templated invitations to contact customer care.
Recurring complaints in recent reviews (August and September 2026):
Recurring praise is about fast delivery, good packaging, easy ordering and helpful staff in individual stores. Our reading: most orders go smoothly, but when something goes wrong, getting it fixed can take effort. Keep screenshots and order numbers.
Customer service contact. JD's contact page lists the phone number 0161 393 7055, open Monday to Friday 8:00 to 19:00 and Saturday and Sunday 9:00 to 18:00, plus a web form. No email address or live chat is listed. The postal address is JD Sports, Hollinsbrook Way, Pilsworth, Bury, BL9 8RR.
You can browse the current offers in the JD Sports sale and on the Black Friday page, check the current rate on the JD Sports card in Soleback, and see more promotions, discount codes and the browser extension that reminds you about cashback while you shop.
