1,764 pieces, 32 centimetres tall and the first ever Son Goku minifigure at £129.99
Soleback Team
LEGO Icons 11390 Dragon Ball: Shenron & Goku is the first ever LEGO set under the Dragon Ball licence. It runs to 1,764 pieces, costs £129.99 and goes on sale on 4 November 2026, with LEGO Insiders getting access three days earlier. The box holds one minifigure, Kid Goku on his Flying Nimbus, plus seven Dragon Balls printed with one to seven stars. Buy through LEGO with Soleback cashback active and part of the price comes back.
Dragon Ball began as Akira Toriyama's manga in 1984 and grew across four decades into anime, films, games and one of the highest grossing entertainment properties ever created. In all that time not a single official LEGO set carried the licence.
11390 closes that gap twice over: it is the first LEGO Dragon Ball set and simultaneously the first official Son Goku minifigure. For minifigure collectors the second fact weighs more than the model itself.
Set number: 11390
Line: LEGO Icons
Pieces: 1,764
Age: 18 plus
Height: 32 cm
Length: 24 cm
Width: 26 cm
Minifigures: one, Son Goku
Stickers: none, every detail is printed
Price: £129.99
At 1,764 pieces for £129.99 the price per piece works out at around 7.4 pence. For a licensed Icons set that is a sound figure and notably better value than several recent collaborations.
At the centre stands Shenron, the sacred dragon, coiled around a vertical pillar and rising above the base. The build captures his distinctive silhouette, the scales and the sculpted claws, and the designers worked from specific animation frames of the original Dragon Ball series rather than the later continuations.
Beneath the dragon sit seven Dragon Balls, each individually printed with its star count from one through seven. On the base they appear as seven 2x2 bricks, and the base itself carries a print of the classic Dragon Ball logo.
Son Goku stands on the Flying Nimbus at the heart of the scene. The minifigure detaches and can be placed elsewhere in the composition, which lets you stage different moments from the same scene.
Poseable head and claws: the position can be adjusted, so the model is not entirely static
No stickers: every detail, including the stars on the Dragon Balls and the logo on the base, is printed. Collectors care, because stickers yellow and peel
Detachable minifigure: Goku on his cloud is not fixed to a single point
LEGO Builder app: 3D instructions, with the model rotatable at every step
Building technique over moulded parts: the dragon is made from standard elements, which the maker describes as the real design challenge
This is a display model rather than a toy. With an 18 plus rating and a footprint of 32 by 26 centimetres, it belongs on a shelf, a desk or in a cabinet.
1 November 2026: early access for LEGO Insiders members
4 November 2026: general release
At launch the set is exclusive to LEGO's own channels, meaning the brand's site and LEGO Stores. Selected retail partners follow later.
LEGO: the official source, full availability from day one and early access for Insiders
Hamleys: the UK's best known toy retailer, worth watching once distribution widens
GAME: regularly runs promotions on collector sets
The Game Collection: independent specialist, often competitive on bundles

At £129.99, 2 per cent returns about £2.60, 3 per cent £3.90 and 5 per cent £6.50. On a set at this level that is roughly a small polybag's worth, and activation takes seconds.
For the rebate to register, open the store's page in the Soleback catalogue before you buy and click through from there. The Soleback extension prompts you to activate, and new accounts get the welcome bonus.
First sets from a new licence sell through quickly: interest is high and sales initially run only through LEGO
Insiders membership buys three days: if you want a guaranteed purchase, sign up before 1 November
App versus browser: cashback registers on browser purchases, buying inside a retailer app usually will not track
Codes from elsewhere: a voucher found outside Soleback can zero the commission
Third party listings: launches attract prices above the recommended figure, and £129.99 is the maker's number rather than a market floor
Approval time: the rebate is released after the returns window closes
LEGO is reported to be planning further Dragon Ball sets for 2027, and they are expected to head in a different direction from 11390. More minifigures and a focus on playability rather than display are the expectation. So if you are waiting on fight scenes or a complete roster of Z Fighters, that is next year's business.
This is LEGO's usual path with a new licence: one large model for adult collectors first, to test the market, then an expansion towards a younger audience.
11390 is a set forty-two years in the waiting. 1,764 pieces, 32 centimetres tall, seven Dragon Balls with printed stars, no stickers anywhere and the first Son Goku minifigure ever made, all for £129.99. It arrives on 4 November 2026, with a three day head start for Insiders.
