Want to order a radiator thermostat, a camera or a smart lock from tink's German shop, tink.de, and wondering whether there is a tink discount code, what delivery costs and how returns work? Here is everything the Berlin smart home retailer officially says on the subject, with dates, sources and the places where the information contradicts itself. Correct as of 13 October 2026.
The most important finding first: the discount shown in tink's product listings is almost never a discount on tink's previous price. According to the shop, the crossed-out prices are the manufacturer's recommended retail price (UVP, "unverbindliche Preisempfehlung"). So a "-47%" only tells you how far tink is below the UVP, not whether the price was higher yesterday.
No. According to the help-centre article "In welchen Ländern kann ich bestellen?" (Which countries can I order from?), tink delivers only to Germany, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands, each country through its own shop: tink.de, tink.at, tink.be and tink.nl. There is no UK shop and no delivery to the UK, so the question of customs duties and import VAT does not arise.
tink.de settles only in euros, so all amounts in this article are in euros. We do not convert them. This guide describes the rules of tink.de and is useful if you order to an address in Germany, for example because you live there or you are buying for family or a holiday home there. The Austrian, Belgian and Dutch shops have their own conditions, which are not covered here.

tink is an online retailer of smart home technology based in Berlin, founded in 2016. It sells third-party brands such as Bosch Smart Home, tado°, Philips Hue, Homematic IP, Eve, Nuki, eufy, Ring, Sonos and Amazon, plus its own brand tink Basics, for example Matter light bulbs. According to its "Über uns" (About us) page, tink has more than 2 million customers and operates in 5 countries.
The range is narrow: thermostats, lighting, security, audio, energy. If you are specifically looking for a starter kit or a multi-pack, tink is often worth a look, because sets and bundles are one of the shop's strengths. For single items it pays to compare prices, as teltarif also advised in August 2026.
tink delivers to home addresses only. According to the help centre, tink ships to Germany, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands. Each country has its own shop: tink.de, tink.at, tink.be and tink.nl. For Germany there are also partner shops such as vattenfall.tink.de and deutsche-giganetz.tink.de.
tink explicitly asks you to order from the shop for your own country. Whether an order placed on tink.de can be delivered to an address in Austria is not stated in the help centre. That is not confirmed.
According to the "Versand & Zahlung" (Shipping & payment) page, tink's shipping costs are €4.95 per order. According to the help centre, this applies to orders up to €99. tink does not publish any scale based on weight or number of parcels.
Important for split deliveries: tink sends orders containing products from different manufacturers in several parcels, because the goods come from different warehouses. The relevant help article does not say whether this incurs extra shipping costs. The "Versand & Zahlung" page speaks of €4.95 "per order", not per parcel.
Shipping costs are only refunded if you withdraw from the entire order. If you return only part of it, tink keeps the €4.95.
There are two ways to get free delivery:
Because tink Plus is free, the second route is the easier one. If you order an adapter plug for €40, signing up saves you the €4.95 straight away.
One detail at the threshold: the help centre says "€4.95 for orders up to €99", the shipping page says "free from €99". At exactly €99.00 the two wordings contradict each other. We have not tested what happens in the basket. If in doubt, go a few cents over.
tink does not give a fixed delivery time in working days, either in the help centre or on the product pages we checked. On 13 October 2026, the product page for the tado° X Starter Kit 3-pack only said "Sofort verfügbar" (available immediately).
According to the help article "Lieferzeiten" (delivery times), tink relies on data from its delivery partners. The delivery time counts from the release of the order in the order system, not from the moment you click "Bestellen" (order). Depending on the payment method, shipping method or delivery address, an order may be checked additionally. So if you pay by invoice via Klarna ("Klarna Rechnung") or use a different delivery address, the start may be later. That is our inference from the help text, not a measured time.
Customer experiences are mixed. homeandsmart wrote in July 2024 (updated April 2026) that its own orders arrived within the stated period, but that many customers reported longer delivery times than shown. The Trustpilot summary also mentions occasional delays alongside praise for fast delivery.
tink does not say which carrier delivers the goods. The terms and conditions only state that delivery is usually made by a tink partner. As products from different manufacturers come from different warehouses, different carriers may be involved. That is not confirmed.
For returns, on the other hand, tink names DHL specifically (return code) as well as DHL or UPS (returns label).
There is none. According to the help centre, tink currently offers standard delivery only. If you need a thermostat for the weekend, order early in the week.
Not possible. The help centre says that deliveries to parcel shops and Packstations are currently not possible. With Amazon Pay, delivery to Amazon Lockers is also excluded. If you are not at home during the day, give an address where someone can accept the parcel, for example your work address.
tink does not offer collection of online orders, at least there is no such option on tink.de or in the help centre. In 2017 the media reported on a flagship store in Berlin, and homeandsmart writes about shops in Berlin and Vienna from 2022. The current "Über uns" page does not mention a physical shop. Whether there is a store today, and where, is not confirmed.
You do not need a separate free delivery voucher code. You get free delivery permanently through the free membership of tink Plus. Voucher sites do list "Gratis Versand" (free delivery) as a voucher, but behind it is simply the normal €99 threshold.
As soon as your order, or part of it, has been packed, tink sends an email with a tracking link. You can also see the status under the menu item "Bestellverfolgung" (order tracking) or directly at tink.de/order-status. If you have a customer account, you will find the details under "Bestellung ansehen" (view order). With split deliveries you will receive several shipments accordingly.
If the carrier sends a parcel back as undeliverable, tink refunds the full amount including shipping costs, according to the help centre. Typical reasons: wrong address, illegible label, failed delivery attempts or refused acceptance.
tink cannot resend returned parcels. If you still want the goods, you have to order again, and then the current price applies, not the old one.

There is no permanently valid tink voucher code for all products. Here is what we found:
At tink, the discounts themselves are usually built into the price rather than a code. Example from 13 October 2026: the tado° X Starter Kit 3-pack & Bridge costs €189.95, and the UVP is €359.97.
On vouchers, the terms and conditions are stricter than many voucher sites suggest:
You enter the code in the basket in the "Gutscheincode" (voucher code) field below the total, then click "hinzufügen" (add).
Gift vouchers work differently: you can redeem several of them in one order, also together with another voucher code, and any remaining balance stays in your account under "Meine Gutscheine" (My vouchers). They cannot be paid out in cash, and they can only be redeemed in the country where they were bought. According to netzwelt, gift vouchers start at €20.
At tink, the newsletter and the customer club are the same thing: you sign up for tink Plus with your email address and receive the newsletter as part of it. Cost: none. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in the newsletter.
What tink Plus offers, according to tink:
There is no extended returns period for members.
tink Plus sends you a voucher every year on your birthday. tink does not state its value, either on the Plus page or in the help centre. If you want to use it, add your date of birth to your customer account. Exactly how the voucher is delivered is not confirmed.

Once more, because it makes all the difference: the percentage measures the gap to the UVP. The real comparison is the price at other retailers on the same day.
Important for the timing of your purchase: if the price drops after you have ordered, tink does not refund the difference, according to the help centre. If it is not urgent, wait for Black Friday in the autumn, or buy again within the 14 days and return the old order. The latter is allowed, but it is a hassle for tink, and you do the work of the return.
Via Soleback you get up to 2.5% cashback at tink.de. The conditions according to the Soleback page on tink:
The catch that trips most people up: cashback is not credited if you use a voucher code that does not come from Soleback. This also applies to the tink Plus voucher. So you have to choose: the €10 welcome voucher on €150 or more, or 2.5% cashback. On €150, 2.5% is exactly €3.75, so the voucher is better. Only from a €400 basket does the cashback match the €10. You can still use tink Plus free delivery, because that is not a code.
Also excluded: purchases in the app instead of the browser, ad blockers or tracking protection, switching to a price comparison site or another cashback portal after activation, cancelled and returned orders, and orders paid partly with a gift voucher. The Soleback help pages explain exactly how it works. With the browser extension you will not forget to activate cashback, and new users get a welcome bonus.
You have 14 days to send goods back, counted from the day on which you (or a person you nominated) received the last item of the order. With tink's returns label, the return is free. There is no extended returns period, not even for tink Plus members. The steps according to the help centre:
The return code is valid for 30 days. However, this does not extend the 14-day withdrawal period, so register your return in time. Stick the new label over the old one or remove the old one, so that the wrong one is not scanned.
If you send items back without tink's label, according to the terms and conditions you bear the cost and the risk yourself.
According to the help centre, the money comes back within 14 days of the return arriving at the warehouse, via the payment method you used. According to the terms and conditions, tink may withhold the refund until the goods have arrived or you have provided proof of dispatch. If you paid with a gift voucher, the amount goes back onto the voucher account.
Allow for postage time plus processing. If you drop the parcel off on the last day of the period, it may therefore take around three weeks for the money to arrive. That is our inference from the deadlines, not a figure from tink.
Two rules that are often overlooked with smart home sets:
tink does not offer exchanges. If you want a different size of set or a different colour, send the goods back within 14 days and order again, at the price applicable at that time.
Faulty goods: contact customer service via the contact form and describe the fault. tink passes the case on to the manufacturer and gets back to you with a replacement or a return. According to the help centre, processing takes 1 to 2 weeks. The statutory warranty applies. Optionally, tink sells a warranty extension through external partners, for example 5 years for a one-off €16.99 on the tado° X Starter Kit product page. The contracting party is then not tink.
For installation problems there is the Funktioniert-Garantie ("it works" guarantee): if support via chat or email cannot help, tink organises an on-site installation service, depending on your location and not for flush-mounted switches or robot lawnmowers. You can also buy the installation service as a package, carried out by HELFERLINE, travel included. According to the page, the smallest package, S, requires a basket of €100 or more. On 13 October 2026 no fixed euro prices were shown in the page text.
Only within the first hour after ordering, which you can do yourself in your customer account. After that it is no longer possible, because tink ships quickly. If the parcel is already on its way, you can refuse to accept it. Once the return has been processed, the amount is refunded within 14 days.
According to the help centre and the shipping page, you can pay at tink as follows:
Two cost traps: Klarna may charge a flat fee of €3.95 per reminder, and tink only accepts bank transfers from accounts within the EU. With PayPal Express and Amazon Pay, the address stored there is used, so check it before you buy.
tink deliberately offers no phone support. Contact is via support tickets in the help centre, and the Funktioniert-Garantie also mentions chat and email. If you complain about a voucher, always include the code, otherwise support cannot help.
Ratings on 13 October 2026:
The distribution is typical of online retailers with lots of orders: most customers are satisfied, and the dissatisfied ones complain mainly about delivery delays and support that is hard to reach. According to Trustpilot, tink replies to 8% of negative reviews.
